At the Supreme Court -this morning a case was heard in which the Wanganui School Committee applied for an injunction against the Education Board, .restraining them from refusing to allow the Committee to regulate the school hours, so as to admit of ‘Bible instruction in ordinary school hours. The Committee had fixed hours providing for instruction during school hours, but the Board refused to sanction the arrangement. The Committee then applied for an injunction. Mr Justice Cooper decided that the Committee had no powop to fix hours, which matter rested in the Board, and the Committee wao under the Board’s authority.
