Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Feb. 19

Jacob Michael Harneii was lined Co, with £2 Os costs, at Bluff to-day on a charge of having wounded Andrew Eriidstcn, with intent to do bodily harm. Accused is a Russian Finn, on the Norwegian barque Hermes, and the other mail is stated to he a steward. It was stated that both were drunk, and that a brawl ensued. The .wound was very slight. It w.as pointed out that -accused was an alien, speaking only a few words of English, and the matter would he complicated if lie was kept in gaol till his shita sailed. The Court- therefore acted summarily, the captain undertaking that accused Mould not como ashore again.
