Mr. F. J. Lysnar returns from a visit to Auckland to-day. Air. A. T. Tlookey, manager for Alessrs. A. Clark and Co., -leaves today on a business trip to Auckland.

The. Rev. Father Lane leaves today for Auckland to attend the dedication service a.t St. ■Patrick’s Chthedral. Cardinal Aioran is to perform the ceremony, find representatives from all parishes in the Catholic diocese of Auckland will be present. Tho friends of Air Griffiths, of the firm of Alessrs Nicholls and Griffiths, who has been ill with typhoid fever for some time, will regret to learn that after making very satisfactory progress towards recovery he suffered a severe relapse, and on Alonday night the worst fears were entertained. Fortunately, ail improvement was noted yesterday morning, and this being maintained throughout the day it is confidently anticipated that lie will yet pull through.
