Kano considers that- there is no case against Mr. Shackleton, and the Commission completely exonerate;, him. Air. Shackleton testified that lie could easily have taken the key while Sir A. Vicars was in the bathroom, and also gave numerous reasons showing that the precautions taken wero quite insufficient to protect the jewels. Air. Shackleton is a brother of the commander of the Antarctic expedition.
