BUSH FIRES.
A CONTRADICTED RUMOR
Press Association. AVELLINGTON, Feb. 17
A Press Association telegram from Auckland received yesterday stated that the totara busli at Mokaia was in danger of being swept away. Today Mr. Dalziell, the chairman of the Taupo Timber Company, telegraphed for particulars, and was informed that the report was incorrect, and that there was no fire in the bush, or in the Mokaia mill.
