WRESTLING. In this issue Nugget Godding accepts A. TV. Kent’s challenge to wrestle, catch-as-catch can stylo. RIFLE-SHOOTING. A shooting match will bo held at the range to-day by the Gisborne -Rules, for the Company Handicap Clip. There are a fair number of entries. LAWN TENNIS. In the Gisborne Club’s tournament the final of the second gride handicap singles was won by Allan Hawley, who starting from receive 5 defeated T. Clarkson (owe 10) by GO points to 63. Tho winner is a 13-year-old lad, who has shown remarkably good form during the present season, playing with exceptional accuracy. ROWING. The semi-final of the Seymour Double Sculls (Poverty Bay) was rowed last evening between J. Nicholas and RooJiq and B. Lowe and F. E. 1 ortor. This was nn exciting race, but near the Kaiti bridge Lowe and Porter forged ahead and maintained the lead throughout, ultimately winning by half a’ length. To-night the final .'-ill lie rowed between Lowe and R. MeGuflie, when a good race is expected. The final in connection with tlie Hennossv Fours competition (GasIkime Club) was rowed last evening, when Hamilton beat Bayly by a length. Hamilton’s crew got- tho advantage at the start, and kept a slight" lead all through, eventually winning a -well-contested race by the margin stated. CRICKET. P.B. CRICKET ASSOCIATION. A special meeting of the management committee of the above association was held at the British Empire Hotel last evening, to consider the advisability of sending a -representativo eleven to Auckland during tlio Christmas holidays. After discussion it was decided that the secretary wire to tlio Auckland Association, asking whether they could arrango a representative match with Povertv -Bay at New Year, and Messrs. R. W. Cary and TV. Gibson wero deputed to ascertain what players could make the trip. An all-day -match was arranged for Boxing Day between the Saturday and Thursday representative- elevens. and Messrs. J. Lang, J. TVack, and B. C. Baxter were appointed a selection committee to pick the Thursday eleven.

In view of the probable Auckland tour at New Year, the A and B teams as originally selected will moot on the Domain this afternoon.
