WILLOU OH BY - WARD SEASON. To-night His Majesty’s Theatre will no dou oc be crowded to the doors to Welcome tho talented combine, Willoughby, Ward, and Grace Palotta, since it is so seldom that wo are favored with a compiany of their undoubted standing. The season is limited to three nights, and to-night we are piromised “Mr. Hopikinson,” in which Mr. Hugh Ward has a George Patrick Huntley part—a new edition of Mr Hoggenlieimer. As Hopkinson, the vulgarian, he shows his cleverness in a hew line of work. But it is not a case of the first comedian being first and the rest of the company nowhere. In theatrical companies, as in football teams, success depends more on combination than on individual effort. Every part) in this up-to-date comedy is well pilayed, and in this condition of things we find Miss Gillian Scaife, as the waiting maid, dividing honors with Miss Grace Palotta, as the Duchess of. Braceborougli, with her studied smile and bloodless courtesies, and Miss Olive Wilton, as Lady Tliyra. Mr. George Willoughby contributes a character .sketch of an aristocratic pride on its last legs as the Earl of Addleton. ' To-morrow night the very latest London success, “The New Clown, will lie staged. This comedy recently ran for over eight weeks in Melbourne to crowded houses. On Ti lday the compiany will make their farewell appearence in “Tho Man from Mexico.” The scenic effects and elaborate staging, with the specially imported Paris costumes are added ; features. In fact, the performance of all three comedies promise to be of a most perfect description. Reserved and day sale tickets are now on sale at. Mr. Miller’s.
