TO-NIGHT’S CONCERT.

Everything is now in train for the concert to.be given in His Majesty’s Theatre to-night and to-morrow night and the programme, published in another column, promises a good evening’s entertainment. The special feature of the programme is the dancing of the Caehuca and the Gavotto from Sullivfan’s opera “The Gondoliers.” The dancers have been thoroughly trained, and with the help of special limelight effects and pretty costumes a brilliant effect should be produced. Concerted vocal music is represented on the programme by Lane’s “Country Dance,” to be sung by Mesdames Buckeridge, Gardiner, and Kennedy, Messrs Kissling, Teat, and Dr. Buckeridge, and the quintette “The Legend of the Chimes,” from Do Roven’s “Robin Hood.” In the instrumental department aid will be lent by a full orchestra under the baton'of Mr. M. L. Foster. The orchestra will contribute an overture to the second part of the programme, and will also accompany the two “Gondoliers” items and Mrs. Buckeridge’s singing of “Alas, Those Chimes” (Maritana). Mr. J. Adair will contribute a ’cello solo. Vocal solos ■will be given by Miss Eily Law, and Messrs Griffiths, Kimpton, Mair, and Teat. Mr. Lewis will give some special items.
