BUSHFELLING FATALITY.

Press Association. AVAIROA, yesterday. A ,young man named Georgo Gavyn Phillips, from Atarton, whilst buslifelhng oil Parker and AA’bite’s property Alangapoiki, was felling, a tawa tree on Friday at noon. The tree split upwards and kicked him iii tlie small of the back, inflicting a wound six inches long and three inches deep. It took 16 men twentytwo hours to carry him twelve miles, owing to the rough country. He arrived at the hospital yesterday morning, and died at 5 o’clock this morning.
