Cook’s Living Pictures’ Company will inaugurate their Gisborne season at His Majesty’s Theatre. on Wednesday next, when Mr Cook will introduce a splendid programme in the bio- ! graph art'. The management carry with them upwards of two miles of living picture films, and fresh subjects are being added continuously. There is a wonderful series of pictures of the drama “ The Sign of the Cross.” These tableaux alone take upwards of 30 minutes to pass through the machine. The season at Gisborne must of necessity be a short one, as Mr Cook, who is cinematographier to the N.S.W. and Ciheensland Governments, is merely passing through on his way to continue his contracts for producing animated pictures of the rural and pae toral districts in those States in which dims are to be used by the Agents3onor.il Department iu London.
