Imperial Biograph Pictures
There was a large attendance at His Majesty’s Theatre last night when Mr Cooper’s Imperiol Biograph pictures were I shown. Intense interest was taken in the exhibition throughout, chiefly in the footI ball pictures, and many of the views were heartily applauded. Very fine views of the terrible San Francisco disaster were I shown, and the football inaltch Wales v New Zealand was most reealistie, one I young New Zealander expressing the I opinion that Wale's '■ and the referee ’’ I were quite a match for the “ All Blacks.” The comedy pictures caused much amusenjc.nt, and the various incidents were greeted with roars of laughter. | ‘ (
“ Kiljarney ’’ and other songs were nicely sung by Mr Dudley Trent A Matinee is to be' given at 3 this afternoon, during which a short address will be ■ delivered by the Mayor. To-morrow night there will be a Sacred Concert after the church services, the proceeds being in aid of the Seddon memorial fund. Living pictures “ Heroes of tho Bible,” will be shown, and Miss Bedstone will sing,
