Beamish gives the money to the rebels, and also bank notes to Arrah*Na..Pugup, who allows them to Feeney. He lodges a complaint that Arrah Na Poguo has robbed him, and attempts to have her arrested. Shaun, on Irish post-boy, to save her, gives himself up on his wedding morning, and is tried by oourt-martial and sentenced to death- The Ssoretary of Slate is appea’ed to for a pardon. Shaun, who is quite the leading charaoter of the piece, in the meaot'me makes a desperate attempt to escape, and sucoeeds. Feouey, seeing him climbing a chff, hurls a stooo at him, but Arrah Na Poguo interposes, and in the struggle which takes place she deflects the oourso of the stone. Shaun escapes injury, climbs the oiiff, and hurls Feeney into eternity. A pardon arrives, and Shaun has his freedom.
