(P« Pres« Aasoclatlon.) Wellington, last night, Tbs disease which has attacked cattlo at Bombay, in Auckland district, has been ciagnosed by Mr Gilrutb, the chief Government vet., a 3 true anthrax. The ca'.tla whioh have suooumbed to the disease were
erasing on land which had been fertilised with boneduat, and the Agricultural Department is endeavoring to ascertain where it came from. Beveral cargoes of bonedust have been sent to Auckland from Sydney under the certifio'te of Mr Lauri, Hew Zealand Government sterilising expert, stationed in New South Wales, but n to the present none have been received 0 "m India since the new sterilising regu■c.’.iiiMa oamo into force.
