{To the Editor of the’Times.) • Sir,—The short paragraph referring tt what I said at a meeting of the Borougt Council re the acquisition of the xovcrt] Bay Park Company’s ground was some what misleading, and I trust you will maKi the necessary correction. What X said aya that, so far as I knew, the shareholder were not then in a position to treat with 1! an opinion having been obtained fronr. solicitor as to ils legal aspect. I did stat that the chairman was oppossd to th shareholders dealing with thoir estate, bu allow me to add that they intend to do s Botwithstandiog, and a requisition's DO' in tho hands of the ebairmain asking th convening, of a meetiDg to put the mattf in legal and constitutional form. Whe ■that is done it is hoped the Council willfo fcehalf of the inhabitants, secure it. It ca ,be made a revenue producing investmon ■•. and a boon to the district for all tim ■That the original shareholders should hai ■stood by . and. allowed euch a valuab cstato to havo remained unproductive.
