BOWLING.

The Bluff Hill Bowling Club send three rinks to Gisborne to play the long promised match with the looal club to-morrow. Messrs J. W. Witty, I. S. Simson, and A. J. Massey have been appointed to skip the Gisborne teams and have chosen the following players who should give a good account when the scores are made up :

Ambridge Robertson Adair Harris Corson Nicholas Martin Bright Hennessy Simson (skip) Witty (skip) Massey(skip) All the arrangements are well advanced for the tournament with tho Bluff Hill Club. Play will commence at nine sharp, which should give time to finish the games. The committee extend an invitation to their members’ friends for that day.

YESTERDAY’S PLAY. At the bowling green yesterday afternoon there was a large number of members present, and some . very interesting matohes were played. In two games ties were made on tho last head, whioh necessitated playing one more head to decide the winner. The following games were played : Handicap Fours.
