[(Per Press Association).. CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. A meeting oi the Canterbury. Hockey, Association last night considered the disqualification of Sibbald and Matthews, and the question af affiliation of .the Canterbury) Association to the New Zealand Association, Sibbald .contended that his action in supplying information to the .Wellington Association was in the interests of hockey throughout the colony. An amendment that the suspension of' S'iqbaid for two years for conveying surreptitious information to the Wellington Association be removed, and that for disrespect to the executive he be suspended for the remainder of .the season was lost, A private meeting held yesterday, considered the Waimakariri Empowering Bill, now. before Parliament, It was pointed out that the interests of the sinking fund and working expenses of the Waimakariri loan would be charged to the colony alone. It was further stated that no definite scheme for utilising the waters had been formulated. It was decided that a petition be presented to Parliament asking that the Bill in its present form be not passed until definite data and a more thorough scheme are prepared. The inquest on the man Williams, killed by the collapse of a drain, was adjourned till Wednesday. The Mayor’s. Coronation ball, held last night, was a brilliant success.
