At Auckland the three'-masted scow Hawk is taking in a cargo of coal from the American ship Henry Foiling, for Gisborne.

The Union Company’s s.s. Omapere arrived from Auckland via coastal port 3 last evening, bringing the following passengers :—Misses Clark, Thompson, Clark, Warren ; Mesdames Hill and Condon ; Messrs Brooking, Ngata, Rogers, Woods, Stanley, and Masters Chrisp (3). The Omapere leaves for the South this evening.
