Fighting Natives,

London, Dec. 12. | Congo Free State oflicials, searching for deserters, attacked natives on the French bank of the Übanghi. Thirteen natives were killed and wounded, and many made prisoners. In September a French force drove Fadlallah, sou of the late Sultan of Kabab, to Tiku, British Central African territory. Fadlallah’s forces recently wont towards Tchad in search of food. A French column killed hitn and shattered the power of the descendants of liaoah. The British allego that the recent encounter, which resulted in the French deposing the Emir of tioudji, in the Nigerian hinterland, took place within the j British sphere. |
