A great number of horses aro in training in tho early hours of the morning, preparing for the forthcoming Auckland Summer Meeting, commencing BoxingDay. Visitors from throughout the colony will be present. Mo doubt a number of those well-known and true sportsmen from Gisborne will patronise the meeting. The fact that the Gisborne horses showed up moro prominently at the /Tukapuna races should make the forthcoming meeting all tho moro interesting to those who are fond of the sport of Kings at Gisborne. Mr Stead's horses are expected shortly. Bluejacket did not work this morning. He is roportod to bo soro. Nonette did a splendid gallop over one mile and five furlongs. Tauhei put in strong work on tho tan. Materoa did steady work. I
