[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Auckland, Saturday. a In the Supreme Court, decrees nisi wore ® granted in .Rupert Ernest Gladding v. Thirda Gladding, Bertha Sophia Brown v. Herbert James Brown, Caroline Grant v. Peter Grant and Maringi, co-respondent. The Harbor View Hotel and contents, at Raglan, owned by R. X). Nathan and Co., and occupied by Mr Baker, have been totally destroyed by fire. The hotel was insured in the Norwich Union for £1520, and Baker’s stock for £SOO in the North British. New Plymouth, Saturday. By a fire on Hursthouso road last night Gamlin’s boiling-down establishment was totally destroyed. Tho loss is about £470. There was no insurance. The origin of the firo is unknown. Napier, Saturday. The residence of Mr John Marshall, at Petano, has been totally destroyed by fire. Nothing was saved. Tho insurance on tho building was JG3OO in the South British, and on the furniture £350 in tho Farmers' Co-operative Fire and Marine. Palmoraton North, Saturday. Tho Arbitration Court concluded its sitting hero this morning. It has yot to take ovidonco in tho furniture-makers’, painters and decorators’, iron and brass moulders’, tin-plate, and book-binders’ disputes, and further adjourned tho hearings to Wanganui. In tho sawmillers’ dispute the parties announced that an agreement had boon come to on tho following points : Hours to be 46 per week; overtime to bo paid after 92 hours workod in any fortnight; yardman at country mills defined as ono who does manual labor in loading or unloading trucks, waggons, and moasures timber. Tho remainder of tho points in the disputo have boon left to tho Court. Tho utmost good' feeling prevailed between the parties. Tho woathor continues hot, and rain is badly wanted. Wellington, Saturday. At a camera sitting of the Divorce Court decrees nisi were granted in tho following cases: Annie R. Crawford v. W. G. Crawford, and Joan B. McDonald v. Henry , McDonald. It is expected that the Government will at an oarly date bring into operation that part of the Timber Export Duty Act of j last session which enables it to levy a duty on all imported timbor except sawn , flitches. The Government have grantod a compassionate allowance to the widow of Mr j Lanauze, who was an officer of the Customs ' at Christchurch. ; In tho Divorco Court this morning a decree nisi was granted in tho caso of Margaret McMillan v. T. B. McMillan. The Monowai takes from New Zealand . to Sydney only 85 tons of cargo, viz., 5 5 j from tho South Island, 15 from Wellington, and 15 from tho West Coast.
