SPORTING.

TAKAPUNA RACES: (Special to Times.) Auckland, last night. The Takapuna Jockey Club’s Spring Meeting will he concluded to-morrow. The following arc my anticipations : Stanley Handicap : I like Delia Rose’s chance. Ilosiphele should bo close up. Second Hurdles: Rufus and Chancellor 11. read most dangerous. Spring Handicap : I like Formula, Sparkling Water, and Tauhei, in the order named. Lance-Corporal and Cressy will take a power of beating in the Ilaek Race. Cautle.y Handicap : Highlander or Scotty has the best chance. Pony Handicap : Blue Paul and Stepaway may fight it out. Welter : I prefer Cavalry’s chonce, but he will probably find Paul Seaton and Golden Rose dangerous opponents. I look to old Voltigeur to annex the Steeplechase. Nor’-West has a good chance. The first race at Takapuna commences at one o’clock this afternoon.
