London, Deo. 1. The wool clips have sold—Tahara at 6d and Dalothorpe at 8 7-Bd. Frozen meat: Canterbury mutton is at Dunedin and Southland, 3 l-8d ; North Island, 2 7-Bd. Canterbury lamb is at 4 5-16; fair average is unchanged. Beef is unchanged in price. These prices are official quotations furnished by the Frozen Meat Trade Association. The basis of quotations is sales of not less than 100 carcases of mutton or lamb, or 25 quarters of beef. All quotations for mutton are for fair average quality. The quotations for New Zealand lamb do not include sales of small lambs or heavies of inferior quality. All hides were withdrawn from sale in expectation of an advance. New Zealand basils are at Is. , The hemp market is quiet. Good to fair Auckland October-Deceinber shipment is at £33. . Two South Australian wheat cargoes ot 10,000 quarters, and Victorian sailer, December-January, sold at 29s 3d. Copper, spot, is at £59 2s 6d; three months £57 2s 6d. V Tin, three months, is at £lO6. Silvor is at 2s 1 3-Bd. Wellington, last night. Tho Ancnt-Gencral’s cablegram, dated London, °3oth, states Mutton very dull ; shipments now arriving very heavy ; stocks accumulating. River 1 ate in large supply, and being strongly pushed for sale. A great number of stale carcases are being placed on the market.
