Youth Killed.

By Telegraph—Press Association

Christchurch, last night.

Henry Craze, aged 1.", a Trees runner, was killed by falling off the early train from Springlield this morning, about a quarter of a mile on the city side of Hornby. The passengers felt a bump as if the train had gone off the line, but a boy rushed through and informed the guard that the boy had fallen off. The brakes were immediately applied, but the train was on the down grade, and the lines were wet, and they had no effect. Craze was attempting to cross from one carriage to the other, when his foot slipped, and he fell under one of the ivheels, which passed over his abdomen and severed an aria and a leg.
