London, Nov. 27. Great Britain provides the new Canadian contingent of Imperial Yeomanry with pay and arms. Canada supplies horses, uniforms, and saddlery, and nominates officers, subject to approval. Sir 11. Campbell-Bannerman, in his Lancaster speech, repeated that he had never uttered a word from tirst to last calculated to encourage the Boers and prolong resistance. Tenders arc being invited for the construction of the Cape-Natal railway. General Knox has captured Commandant Joubert, and I’ield-Corncts Wolmofans and Diidrichs. The confiscation of the property of Kruger K'.oti, Wuiinoraus, and other Boer leaders who have not surrendered is recommended by the Natal (Jutlander Committee. The conspiracy at Johannesburg was being carried out in conjunction with Delarev's force. The erection of blockhouses has been started from Croonstadfc eastwards to Pretoria.
The Pretoria correspondent of the Morning Tost states that under 9000 Boers are in the field. London, Nov. 2S. General Knox has captured 3d Boers. Joubert, who was wounded, was the capturer of the British guns at Vlakfo'.itcin in September. The Government has informed the contractors for oaten hay supplied to Government Departments that it may contain tip to five per cent, of wheaten hay.
lieuter's correspondent states that numerous minor engagements have been fought, resulting in the capture of a number of prisoners, including several Field Cornets. Colonel Seobell captured 20 Boers at Konigcrown, in.-hiding Hester, the notorious deserter from the Ct.pe Police. Hester was court-martialled tuul shot.
The Times Pretoria correspondent estimates that there are 70 commandos, ranging from SO to -ISO strong, still in tho field ; 20 in the Transvaal ; 31 in Orange Colony ; 23 in Cape Colony ; 7, numbering 1100, north of the Dciagoa Bay line, under Muller, Hinton, Ben Viljoen ; 11, numbering 1(300, South of the Delagoa * Bay line, under Louis Botha, chiefly consisting of Carolina anti Frmio coiuiuandauts. .Eight are under Delarey anc Kemp. Tho rest are those in the Transvaal and in Krugersdorp and Klorkdon districts. Of the others 23 aro scattered chiefly in Kroonstad, Frankfort, Bethliliem area. Three are in Barkley East district, ten in the karoo west of the mam Cape line. Lord Kitchener is utilising 4500 mounted troops against the enemy.
