CHINAMAN’S LUCK.

Auckland, last night
A Chinaman named Ah Chong was found on the beach at daylight yesterday, and asked how he got there, be said, “ Me come 3 o’clock likee dlown myself.” He had jumped down a cliff forty feet high, and, the tide being out. had landed on the beach. He was much shaken and bruised, and taken to the hospital, where be js recovering. Alexander Fergusou, a carpenter, fell ten ieet from a lift at the Post-Office today. sustaining severe concussion of the brain.
