Sir, — f see that your correspondent “ Volunteer ” is still anxious for more contingents for South Africa. lam afraid he will not so readily see his bellicose desires gratified, for the public are gradually coming to perceive that there is something wrong about this war. Enough valuable British lives have already been lost and untold treasuro poured out in this the meanest war in the history of England.—l am, etc., Anti-Jingo.
