DISPUTE AT MELBOURNE.

A dispute has occurred in the building trade. The men demand ten shillings a day. The Masters’Association is willing to concede au increase on January Ist, conditionally on the Carpenters’ Societypreventing members working for others at less money. Negotiations are at a standstill.
