Hatpin in a Woman’s Heart.
At an inquest at Marylebone on Lydia Leslie, aged 27, a dressmaker, who died after being treated in the Middlesex Hospital for heart disease, the doctor who made the post mortem examination produced a portion of a woman’s hatpin that he had found in the heart. The doctor said that the young woman might have fallen on the hatpin or have thrust it into herself. It was also possible that the piece found had been swallowed. An open verdict was returned,
