Melbourne, Nov. IS. There is much dissatisfaction in cricket circles at the New South Wales Association refusing Maclaren’s request to be allowed to appoint an umpire. It is reported that, rather than submit to such arbitrary dictation, the Melbourne Club will cancel the Englishmen's match, beginning ut Sydney on Friday.
