By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Now York, Nov. 15. A blizzard swept Now York. Many casualties arc reported. Melbourne, Nov. 16, The storm did immense damage, especially to country property and crops. In Castlemaino district it is estimated the damage is fifty thousand pounds. A relief fund has been started for the people rendered homeless. The wheat crops in some districts havo been practically ruined. Sydney, Nov. 16. A violent storm occurred in Sydney last night. It lasted a few minutes and did considerable damage, osdecially in the northern suburbs, where a number cf houses were unroofed, trees uprooted, and much havoc created in orchards. The wind blew at the rate of fifty miles an hour.
Fitzgerald’s circus suffered badly by the " vc l° ne - The immense tent was ridcw ltllete b' destroyed by hailstones. There was a phiiiC amongst the animals.
Devastation in the country was widespread. Deside the destruction of house property, the losses of crops and stock and in orchards is very severe. The damage by the storm to the wheat crops in the Riverina district will be ruinous to many farmers. The force of the wind at Berrigan may be judged by tho fact that a 1000gallon tank was lifted bodily and carried a mile.
