“The Commonwealth duties on tlio thing' Maoriland sends us arc mostly rather less than the duties which Maoriland itself charges: in many other cases the duties are identical. If the sight of its own tariff directed against itself makes Maoriland stagger, it will probably just have to lean up against something solid like Dick Seddon till it recovers.—Sydney Bulletin.
