At a dinner aboard the Victoria and Albert on Friday, the King toasted the Buko and Buchess of Cornwall. He said ho was deeply touched with the enthusiastic welcome that had been accorded them in the colonies, and hoped that the practical results would be to draw closer the strong tics of mutual affection already existing with the Motherland. King Edward has conferred a Companionship of tho Victorian Order on Commander Winslow, of the Ophir, and M.V.O. on Captain Wemyss, of the same vessel, and on Major Clarke, of the Royal Marines.

The Buko of Cornwall presented a memento to every officer aboard the Ophir, besides special presents to the officers and heads of departments. Bishop Temple attended a Te Baum sung at Canterbury Cathedral as a thanksgiving for the Cormvalls’ safe return.

The Maharajahs of Givalior and Jaipur, the Rajah of Kolhapur Mabbu, Nawak Bahalpur, and nativo representatives from all parts of India attend tho coronation of the King. On behalf of Princes unable to attend, it has been decided that the presence at tho Durbar at Delhi bo equivalent to attendance in London.
