Judge O’Connor lias described the statement that Catholics as Catholics are excluded from juries in Ireland as false and wicked. The grounds of the exclusion of jurors in the case referred to were absolutely different. He warned Minis tors of tiie Crown that there was a serious condition of affairs in Sligo, owing to boycotting.

The Dublin Corporation by -10 to 9 voted the freedom of the city to McHugh, member for North Leitrim, recently released after serving a sentence for criminal libel. A scene followed, the Unionist members of the Corporation declaring that the freedom was not intended for law-breakers.
