The Union Company's steamer Poherua

touched a rock yesterday otf Stephen f Island, Cook Strait, when on tiic voyage | from Lyttelton to Westport. > There was j a dense fog at the time. Captain Adams j put into Wellington, arriving at 11 j o’clock this morning. The vessel is making no water, but will be surveyed before again putting to ssa, and an enquiry wi! be held by the Collector of Customs.
