Several marriages arc to take place in Gisborne during show week.
Mr C. Tilliard Natusch left for Napier last evening. Miss Large arrived from Napier by the Moura yesterday. During her visit to Gisborne she" will be the guest of the Mayoress.
Messrs T. Pcrmain and B. Buttle, representing Wellington commercial houses, arrived bv the Moura yesterday.
Mr G. Humphreys left for Wellington last evening. Her many friends will be pained to hear that Mrs Garlick died at the Hospital yesterday morning. The deceased lady has had more than the average share of pain and trouble, having boon confined to her bed for over a year, but she bore up through it all with wonderful fortitude and patience. Her death was a happy release for her.
Trooper James Poynter left for Napier last night, in anticipation of his forthcoming marriage to a well-known Hawke’s Bay lady. The ceremony, we hear, will be notable for the large number of invited guests and the scale upon which the festivilios will be carried out. Mr V.. A. lint-in, S.M.. leaves for Wairc-u next weeck, to preside over the sittings of the Magistrate’s Court there. It .-.-a- the la:e X. P. At the Theatre Royal to-morrow o\en ing Miss Large will sing •• Caller Herrin and “ The I .and 0’ the Leal."
