LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP,

Dunedin, last night. The Ladies’ Golf Championship meeting was continued this morning at the Cornwall links, when the second round of the championship was played. Last year’s champion, Miss Rattray (Dunedin), was defeated by Mrs Bidwill (Wairarapa). Miss Gillies (Auckland) defeated Miss Lewis ( Auckland), and Miss Johnston (Wellington) defeated Mrs Turnbull (Wellington). Mrs Fergus (Dunedin) defeated Mrs Ogston (Dunedin). In the Ladies’ Goif Tournament, Mrs \V. R. Bloomfield (Auckland) won the approaching and putting competition, Mrs Ogston f Dunedin) being second. In the driving competition, Miss Lewis (Auckland) won the first prize, driving RIO yards against the wind. Miss Bell, of Wellington, was second, driving a distance o£ 1291 yards.
