GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP.
(Special to Times.) Auckland, last night. The following are the results of tho third round of the New Zealand Golf Championship:—G. T. Bull (Gisborne) beat E. Yv’ilder (Christchurch), 2 up and 1 to play; A. Duncan (Wellington) heat Pare Keiha (Gisborne), 0 up and 5 ; W. B. Colbeck (Auckland) beat C. Tareta (Hawke’s Bay), 4 up and i>; H. T. Gillies (Auckland) beat C. E. S. Gillies (Auckland), 2up and 1. Some finals for the championship are being played this afternoon, as follows: U. T. Bull v. A. Duncan, and W. B. Colbeck v. 11. T. Gillies. I am inclined to believe that Duncan will win his match against Bull without much difficulty. The final between him and the winner of the other match will be played on Friday afternoon.

Golf this morning was devoted to the approaching and putting competition, competitors to hold the ball from three distances, 20 yards, 89 yards, and 120 yards. There were 22 competitors' Bloomfield (Auckland), Gillies (Auckland), Ilodgson (Wellington), and A. Duncan (Wellington) tied with 9 for first. In the play-off Duncan won with 9 ; Gillies, Hodgson, and Duncan tied for second. Gillies won in the play-of’l' for second place with 9, Hodgson being 11. At the golf tournament C. E. Gillies won tho driving competition (200yds).
The semi-final for the championship was postponed, owing to the bad weather, till to-morrow.
