Lead is at J: 12 Is 3d. Hemp: Fair Wellington October-Do-cember shipment, .£29 7s 6d. Leather : At the sales the prices aro firmer. Host sides are at Is 21 d ; New Zealand basils, Is. Frozen meat: Mutton of all sorts is unchanged in price. Lamb, prime Canterbury, 4,;d ; fair average, including Dunedin, Southland, and Wellington, and secondary Canterbury, 4,'d. New Zealand beef, 180 to 2201b5, fair average quality, ox fores, 2,;d ; ox hinds, unchanged. Wool: Merinos, good, are firm ; faulty is slightly easier. The sales included the following; 8.5. T., did; Milton, 6.}d; Kawarau, 7jd; Koorin, 9.|d; l’aka, Is 6jd. To date 143,047 bales have been catalogued, and 139,705 sold.

Stocks arc light and firmly held in a few hands. Average price to-day, Canterbury mutton B:|d, North Island 3[d, River Plate 3 3-Bd. Shipments now’arriving are very small. Tho lamb market is dull. Canterbury is at 4id, other brands 4 {d. Supplies of Home grown lambs heavy, and are lowering the prices of New Zealand lambs. Beef market weak. New Zealand hinds 3 jd, fores 2]d. Supplies of American chilled beef in large supply and River Plato beef increasing. Butter is firm. Canadian is at 108 s. Cheese is steady; Canadian 475, Hemp is firm and in better demand ; light shipments are .expected; fair current Manila grade on spot XBB 10s, good fair Wellington X'3o, November and December shipments X2B 10s.
