Montgomery’s Entertainers’ Company.

Tins Montgomery Company contiuuei

their season in the Theatre Royal last night, there being again an audience that was enthusiastic throughout. A splendid lot of now views, scenic and humorous, were shown, and the vocal part of the programme equalled that of the previous evening. Mr Montgomery, by special request, had to repeat three songs that ho had previously sung, a pleasing feature of all his songs being that they leave a lasting impression on the mind. Last night he sang “ One Night in June,” “ She is all we have to-day,” “ Bird in a Gilded Cage,” 11 Cuckoo.” The comic element was mainly supplied by the old favorite, Mr Harry Hall, who sang, “ One of the Soldiers,” “ Mother at the bottom of it all,” “ Nursery Rhymes ” (some very funny parodies on the good old rhymes),

“ 13ertie in Love,” “ Fur Thee,” “ I never enjoyed myself so much before.” Mr Fadie, the able reciter, gave some of his line recitations in a style that has won him fame far and wide. Mr Gibson's tuneful items helped to strengthen an excellent programme, and taken altogether there was a really good evening’s enjoyment. The company includes a panist of exceptional ability, Mt £. Bently, who makes a strong feature of that portion of the entertainment. This afternoon a matinee will be held, and parents who wish to give the little ones a treat should send them along. The Gisborne season concludes to-night. There will be shown the thrilling railway collision known as the Brookville disaster, in which two trains are wrecked and fall over an embankment. The Koval Navy scenes will be repeated, and also the Mexican bull fight. Mr Harry Hall has more new comic songs to convulse the audience with, and Mr Edward Montgomery will sing, by request, “ The Fatal Bose of Ited,” and ‘’.When the Ham st Days are Over,” besides now items. The Jther members of the company will con. -uouie uew songs and recitations.
