The New Post Office.

(To the Editor of the Times.) i Sir, —T think that it is high time some in- | formation was vouchsafed to the public ! as to when the erection of the new PostOffice will be proceeded with. The foundation has been allowed a fairly good time to settle, and the work might surely he allowed to go on. Is it intended to allow the building to remain in its present state until next spring, and then open it with a flourish of trumpets, and eulogies as to what tho Government has done for the district ? This is the kind of policy that was adopted prior to last election. AVe were to have all tho Native lands in the district opened three months after the election, and the railway was to be pushed to the Karaka in eighteen months, but also this lias not come about. Where is the Liberal Assoeation these days ?—is it- dead or only slumbering ! —I am, etc., Wakeful.
