The I.re Connnittee of the .Nty Council is collecting information in regard to the use of motors for hauling tire engines in place of horses. A suggestion has also been nun . m favor of motor water carts. 1 Jr has been decided to put down water mains in part of Christchurch, for a supply | of water for sanitary, lire prevention, and | street-watering purposes. The machinery i for the destructor has arrived, and the ! work of constructing the elevated roadj wav shaft and buildings will be gone on ! with at once. Stops will be taken to have I houses in the City properly j present this is very much neglected. The doctors complain loudly that they have much difficulty in finding addresses.
