DEATH OF MR SCOBIE MACKENZIE.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. Mr J. Scobie Mackenzie died this morning after being unconscious for 24 hours. He was born in 1845. He came out to Australia whon 10 years of age, and was engagod in pastoral pursuits, and in the back blocks of Victoria and New South Wales. He came to this colony in 1870, and entered Parliament in 1884.
