The steamship Erik, which was chartered by the Peary Club to go in search of the Arctic explorer Peary, found Peary at Etah. Ho was in excellent health.

The explorer sounded the northern limit of the Greenland archipelago, reaching 88 degrees 50 minutes. He makes a further advance in the spring.
