HOW THEY ESCAPE TAXATION.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, Sept. 10. The question of whether the Federal official salaries is subject to taxation by the respective States has cropped up. Mr Barton is of opinion that there is no State tax on such officials.
