An obstacle was felt by the men on the train, near Moturoa crossing. Search was made on the back journey, and deceased was found. He was dreadfully mutilated. The head and one leg were severed. It appears that the man's name is James Holmes, aged 30. He is only'a day or two out of gaol on a charge of vagrancy. There is every appearance that it is a case of suicide.
