Cheap Advertising.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. When the House met this morning, the Privileges Committee, which inquired into the publication by the Dunedin Star of certain evidence given before the Mines Committee, reported that Mr A. E. Cohen, the Parliamentary representative of that paper, had stated to the Committee that he had obtained the evidence in a thoroughly honorable manner, but that no amount of pressure would induce him to disclose the source of his information. In consequence of that refusal, the Committee left it to the House to determine what steps should be taken in the matter. The report and evidence were ordered to be printed, and, after a lengthy discussion, consideration of the report was made a first order of the day for Tuesday.
