Railway Expenditure.
(Special to Times.) Wellington, last night. It is stated that the Public Works’ Estimates will provide for at least part expenditure of some eighty thousand pounds required for strengthening the railway-line between Wellington and Pctone, as well as providing tho latter town with a new station, and extending tile Railway Workshops to dimensions which will make them tho largest in tho colony. The scheme is in connection with the contemplated rapid service by boat and train between Auckland and the South Island.
