A SAD AFFAIR.
[By Telegraph—Press Association,] Christchurch, last night.
At the inquest on the body of George Venables Hutchinson, found in the Ilcethcote river, the jury returned a verdict that deceased had been found drowned, but that there was no evidence to show how he got into the water. He was subject to epileptic fits. It is supposed that ho had one on tho road near the river, and, on recovering, while in a semi-conscious state,] walked into the water.
