Melbourne, Sept. 2.
Out of thirtv thousand designs submitted to the Federal Flag Committee, the winning design consists of a Union Jack in a corner, the lower part of the field having six pointed stars representing the federating States, and the flag bears the Southern Cross in white, the field being blue for the official flag, and red for the merchant service.
