French Deputy Doubts Leyd's Honesty.
Paris, July 6. Dr Leyds left Paris yesterday after a stay of eight days. He was here on a mission from Ooni Paul Kruger to President Loubert, and he had two conferences with the President, Premier Waldeck and Foreign Minister Delcasse. Before leaving, Dr Leyds had a most unpleasant.public encounter with Deputy Millevoye, editor of Patrie and a prominent pro-Boer, who challenged the Transvaal representative to explain where the vast sums subscribed for the South African cause in France, Germany and Holland had gone, intimating that only an infinitesimal part of those many millions ever left the hands of the supposed distributors.
